All Schools Transitioning to Remote

All Huntsville City Schools will transition to remote learning beginning Monday, Jan. 24 through Friday, Jan. 28. Students will return to campus on Monday, Jan. 31. HCS is joining school systems across North Alabama in transitioning to remote learning due to the impacts of COVID-19 and staffing availability. This decision helps ensure instruction can continue safely and effectively.  Click the More Information button below for additional details and instructions.

Huntsville High School Latin Club

The purpose of our club is to promote the study of the Latin language and Roman culture. We meet regularly for food, fellowship, fun and the celebration of our favorite ancient language!

Sponsors:

Ms. Amanda Dennis

How to Join / Membership Requirements:
Since Latin is the basis for the majority of the languages taught at this school, we welcome all HHS students who are interested in resurrecting this formerly dead language. All languages welcome! We do not discriminate!

All members are asked to pay a $5 membership fee which is used towards the purchase of our Club t-shirts. We also take a voluntary donation every Christmas to the Greater Huntsville Humane Society. Latin students care!
Other Info:
We usually meet at least twice a month but reserve the right to call additional meetings if the mood strikes us. The dates and times for our meetings are usually decided upon by the club officers, but we always try to take into consideration other after school activities and sports practices.
