Huntsville High School - Top 5 in Average ACT Scores

The ACT is a national college admissions examination that consists of tests four key subject areas: English, Mathematics, Reading and Science. The scores can range from a low of 1 to a top score of 36. The score from each subject area is combined to give an overall average score.

The ACT is used by many colleges and universities to make admissions decisions.  The idea is that it provides colleges with one common criterion all applicants can be compared to.

The average ACT score in the USA is 20.8.  Huntsville High's average score was a 24.0.

Huntsville High School's average ACT score for the school year 2016-17 is one of the top 5 scores in the state.  In addition, it is tied for the top score in Madison County.
