First Day of School

Monday, August 17 is the first day of school for the 2020-21 term.  Students enrolled in the Traditional Learning Framework will begin the 1st 9 weeks in Remote Learning due to the current COVID-19 health situation.  For information about what that will look like this year, please click the more information button below to view the Reset Plan Information Hub.

Julie Williams

My husband Richard and I have been married for 28 years, and we have two sons, Walt and Ben, both of whom are products of Huntsville City Schools and both of whom are practicing engineers. When I am not at school, I enjoy staying active by walking in my neighborhood, working out at the Southeast YMCA, practicing yoga, and playing in the backyard with our new puppy.

Experience: 
After working in administrative roles for years, I came to the teaching profession when I joined the Huntsville High faculty in 2009. I have taught English 10, Honors English 10, English 11, AP Language and Composition, Yearbook, and--new this year—AP Literature and Composition. I'm very excited to be exploring new topics and texts with my students, which will allow us to know ourselves, each other, and our world more clearly.
