Mr. Richard Moreland

I began teaching in 1994 at CE Byrd High School in Shreveport, LA. I have taught in Louisiana, North Carolina, Florida, and Alabama. I have been married since 1990 and have two daughters, Megan and Kate. I have lived in Huntsville for 10 years and taught at New Century High School and Westminster Christian Academy. I am looking forward to continuing my teaching career with Huntsville City Schools at Huntsville High where my oldest daughter graduated. I am excited to be teaching Physics again this year since my undergraduate degree is in Physics Education from Louisiana Tech University. My goal for this year is to expand and develop the AP Physics program and recruit as many students as I can to take these classes.

I have taught regular physics, honors physics, and AP Physics 1, 2, & C, chemistry, physical science, CISCO Networking, video production, film appreciation, advanced 8th grade algebra, 7th and 8th grade science, LEGO Robotics, 8th grade logic, geometry, pre-calculus, Principles of Engineering, computer aided design, and ACT Prep.
