Natalie Smith

Greetings Panther Students and Families,

I am pleased to introduce myself to you as the new Administrator of the Freshman Academy. In the days ahead, please know that I truly appreciate your support as we work together to elevate our students to the successful completion of their freshman year.

Pursuing a career in education has always been my dream. My childhood memories revolve around being the child of an elementary school teacher. In our home, teaching was part of the culture she created for our family. Driven to attain my own degree, I pursued tuition assistance through the United States Military. Upon the rewarding completion of my active duty service, I returned to school to attain my teaching credential and pursue my career in education. While teaching, a drive grew inside me to lead and impact students on a broader scale, which propelled me to earn my Master in Educational Leadership. I am honored to serve as an assistant principal at Huntsville High School.

Like you, my family is my centering point. I have been happily married for twenty-five years. My greatest accomplishment is my family. Our oldest son is a freshman in college and our youngest son is a sophomore in high school. We enjoy exercising, hiking, camping, fishing, kayaking, playing games, and mountain biking. Our family is excited to begin integrating ourselves into our new Huntsville High School Family at sporting events, productions, and concerts.

We each play a critical role in educating our youth. I genuinely look forward to working with each of you.
