National FBLA Week Wrap-up

The Huntsville High School chapter of Future Business Leaders of America(FBLA) hosted National FBLA week at the school. The event was from February 7, 2021 to February 13, 2021. Members and non-members alike had the opportunity to participate in different events and learn more about the FBLA organization.

FBLA Week was a seven day event where each day focuses on a different theme. Sunday was “Share Your Story” day, Monday was “Fight to the Finish” day, where 3 division national presidents hosted a live broadcast, and Tuesday was “Each One Reach One” day, where FBLA members were encouraged to talk to a peer or community member to recruit. Wednesday was “Professional Dress” day, Thursday was “Career Awareness” day, Friday was “Spirit Day”, where participants wore the FBLA colors of blue and gold, and Saturday was “Community Service” day.

People also participated in FBLA week by competing through a task scavenger hunt. A series of tasks was posted for participants to complete and compete against each other. Overall prizes were given out to top scorers, as well as prizes for individual categories. During the week, we also hosted a Socks for Soles drive for homeless shelters. Participants brought in new, clean pairs of socks for donation and we collected over 800 pairs of socks to donate!
