Dr. Carlita Collins

Dr. Carlita Collins is an assistant principal at Huntsville Junior High School. She serves as the house administrator for 7th grade. In 2008 with no regrets, she moved to New Market, Alabama to be close to her family. She recently wrote, illustrated and published a book, The Doctors of Number Operations.  The Doctors of Number Operations addresses literacy in early mathematics via storytelling. When Dr. Collins isn’t spending her time dedicated to the equitable development of well-rounded students, you may find her working in her yard, practicing musical renditions for out-of-town vocal performances, or developing learning assignments to help students understand and grasp the vocabulary associated with the functions of the four basic number operations.
