Jacque Jones PLTW
The 2016-2017 School year begins my 21st year of educating children. I am a wife of 31 years. I have a wonderful daughter and son-in-law who by late July will be bringing into this world my first Grandchild, Gunner Jones Watkins.
I began my teaching experience at Ridgecrest Elementary in the 5th grade. I moved to Huntsville middle School four years later to begin teaching 6th grade science and coaching volleyball. I am AMSTI & LTF trained which means incorporating science knowledge with hands-on labs and experiments. This method produces long term learning and avoids short term memorization. As of 2015, I am the Project Lead the Way teacher. I get to incorporate my AMSTI training and blend it into STEM teaching! This is the best of both worlds. I get to inspire students in think beyond the basics and help students see a future that includes Science, Technology, Engineering and Math! I look forward to a successful year with your children.
