Mrs. Stephanie Wieseman - Principal
For 15 years I served as a math teacher at Huntsville Middle School, and I am honored to be Principal of Huntsville Junior High! As a former HMS student and the parent of a HJHS student, I appreciate the traditions of this wonderful school and have high expectations for our future!
HJHS has a reputation for producing students who are ready for high school. The academic programs are challenging and engaging to kids. The extra-curricular programs are competitive and provide enrichment opportunities for many students. We have been fortunate to have outstanding community support in all areas!
As an educator, I believe the foundation of a school is built upon positive, respectful relationships that foster community and inspire students to be responsible for their academic achievement and personal behavior. I will be working diligently to get to know our students and parents. I will be seeking ways to strengthen the excellent programs and academics we already have as well as searching for new opportunities to enrich our school and students.
I began teaching math 23 years ago at Hazel Green High School. After six wonderful years and a move to the Blossomwood area, I decided to move to Huntsville City Schools and was fortunate to begin my career as a middle school teacher at HMS. As a classroom teacher, I taught pre-algebra, algebra I, and geometry. I have gone on many, 14 in all, 8th grade Washington D.C. trips. Three years ago I entered the Samford University program for Instructional Leadership and earned my Master's degree. In 2013, I left HMS to become a TOSA at Whitesburg P-8.
I look forward to working with this dedicated faculty, our community of parents and neighbors, and the pride of HJHS - our students. I am available to listen and discuss your goals and concerns for HJHS!
Go Big Red!!
