Huntsville Student Earns a Perfect Score on the ACT
Ella Michael, an 11th grader at Huntsville High School has earned a perfect 36 on the ACT. Ella took the test last fall and found out about her score in December. She was honored at Thursday night’s school board meeting with a resolution. Ella said that when she opened the email with her score it was “like a total shock” that she had a 36, adding that “it took me a few days for the news to sink in.”
Principal Aaron King said it was no surprise to him that Ella Michael had such a good score, because “I know what an amazing person she is and how hard she works in the classroom.” King says that “this is just an indicator of where she is headed in life,” and they are all very proud of this accomplishment.
Ella Michael is in her junior year at Huntsville High and is involved in French Club, Latin Club, and the French Honor Society. Outside of school she is involved in martial arts and has competed at the regional and world level. Ella is majoring in physics and is keeping an open mind about her choice of colleges, since her ACT score should bring some interesting opportunities.
