Charles H. Thomison

Welcome Jaguar Nation! My Name is Charles Thomison and I am excited about being able to impart into the lives of students who attend our school. I am the AFJROTC Instructor and began teaching at Jemison in February of 2017. I was born in Fayetteville, Tennessee and am Married to Yolanda Duplessis- Thomison . My Passion is to ensure my students understand concepts that will help them become better young men and women. Students enrolled in AFJROTC will be introduced to concepts such as time management, effective leadership principles, ethics, values and morals. Our motto is Integrity first, Service before self and Excellence in all we do. GO JAGS!!

TSgt (Ret) Charles H. Thomison is a U. S. Air Force veteran who actively served his country for 17 years. TSgt Thomison was awarded the Air Education and Training command Master Instructor rating in 1994, and began his AFJROTC teaching career in Madison County, TN and Clayton County, GA respectively for 22 years as an Aerospace Science Instructor (ASI). During his tenure in these school districts, TSgt Thomison was awarded the AFJROTC outstanding Instructor award for 96-97, 2006-07, 2009-10, and 2010-11 school year. TSGT Thomison began teaching at Mae Jemison high school in February 2017, and as the ASI he is responsible for teaching Leadership Education, and Drill and Ceremonies
