Jemison Freshman Academy

Hello Freshman Academy Parents and Students,

Welcome to the Freshman Class of Mae C. Jemison High School! We are so excited that you are apart of the Jemison Family! My name is Patrick Holder and I am the Freshman Academy Administrator. This year our goals are to ease and support students through the transition from 8th to 9th grade and beyond, for all students to move on to the 10th grade without failures, and increase academic rigor and relevance. This will help the students gain a deeper level of understand and apply what they have learned in their everyday life. Our main goal is for every 9th grade student to reach the accomplishment of graduating high school and excel in his/her post-secondary education. Failure is not an option.  In order for these goals to be met, we encourage all students to be at school every day on time to receive breakfast and be ready for the learning that will beginning at 8:30 a.m. daily. Additionally, it is important that everyone follow the classroom and hallway expectations and procedures.  Please feel free to contact any of the Freshman Academy Faculty at any time:
