Festive Faculty Fun

At the Faculty Christmas Party Wednesday evening, it was evident that teachers and staff enjoy a good Christmas movie.  The challenge presented by Principal Becky Balentine was for participants to dress up as their favorite character from a Christmas movie.  As most everyone entered the party, they were greeted with a gasp, a laugh, or admiration of creative costumes.  A wide variety of movies were represented from A Christmas Carol to National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.  Stacey Besherse was dressed perfectly as Aunt Bethany from Christmas Vacation.  Arla Shelton and Wendy Vaughn partnered up as the 2 burglars Harry Lime and Marv Merchants in Home Alone. Christmas Story was represented by the bunny, the lampshade and even Ralphie with a bar of Lifebouy in his mouth.  There were a few reindeer, an Elf and other festive outfits. But there could only be one winner.

The contest was Judged by HCS's Rena Anderson and 2 unbiased residents of Artisans Twickenham Square Apartments.  After huddled and serious discussion, the winner was announced. Congratulations to Susan Mitchell, 5th grade Math teacher,  who had to get on all fours to show off her redition of Max, the precious dog that belonged to The Grinch in How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

The evening ended with a hilarious round of Dirty Santa and the revelation of Secret Santas.  It's tons of fun to be a part of such a close and dedicated Staff.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holidays to All and to ALL a good night!
