Piggies, Piggies Everywhere!
The challenge to build a house out of spaghetti noodles, popscicle sticks, toothpicks, marshmallows, tape, scissors and straws was eagerly accepted by Jones Valley students. Students worked in teams of 4 or 5 to construct a house that would withstand the blows (a blow dryer) of the Big Bad Wolf. The squeals and shrieks of the kids when counting down from 30 minutes grew as time expired and the Wolf tested each house. The budding Engineers proudly displayed their creations of marshmallow corners and spaghetti rafters. Some students even placed little piggies on the lawn. The screams of laughter were heard down the halls as the Wolf tested the strenght of each house. Thanks to Mrs. Woo for this exciting STEM activity.
