Manuela Cothren

Hi! My Name is Manuela Cothren. I am the ARI Reading Specialist at Lakewood Elementary School. I have been teaching with the Huntsville City Schools system for 25 years and this is my 5th year as a ARI Reading Specialist. I moved to Huntsville in 1981 as an "Army brat," and have lived here ever since. I am a new "empty-nester." My last son graduated in spring 2021 and is off to college at USA. My middle son is a sophomore at TAMU. My oldest child, a daughter, lives in Birmingham with her family. I love to spend time with my family, travel (especially to Disney!!), and cook. I love to read and am very excited to be a member of the Lakewood Family!! Looking forward to another amazing year...
