My name is Tracy Yeldell, and I have been teaching since 2003. I enjoy being a teacher because of the beautiful children I encounter every day, and also their willingness and strength of wanting to learn which gives me the motivation to want to come to Lakewood every day and educate them to their fullest potential. I am a firm believer that as a teacher...I must show the students I care for them first, then educate them second...with that in perspective---the students will have the love and desire to want to be educated, and learn how to respect themselves in the process!! In my spare time, I am busy once again with my own family!!...which is my first love:)
I have three energetic daughters named Chelsea, Chloe, and Cailyn that keep me busy all the time...and there is never a dull moment in our household, but they are the little women who made me realize how important life is and to also value life!! Last but definitely not least...My supportive Husband, Henry, is very significant in me being the person who I am today with his loving ways and personality!!
Lakewood Elementary, 2017-Present, Grades Taught-4th and 2nd
I graduated with a B.A. in Social Work and a M.Ed in Elementary Education from Alabama A&M University...GO BULLDOGS!!:) With my educational background and Knowledge I have acquired from being a veteran teacher, I want to and will strive to provide the best education for my students in the same way as in the way I was provided as a student myself.
