Akilah Parker

I am Akilah Parker, 12th grade English teacher and I love Lee High School Students. I completed my student teaching here at Lee in 2009 and have found it extremely hard to separate myself ever since. I have spent time in a few other schools over the years and I have enjoyed my experience thoroughly. In my spare time, I love traveling, spending time with my family, exercising, and taking long naps. During my childhood, I lived in Memphis, Chicago, and Atlanta Having spent the most time in Atlanta, I consider it my home. I left Atlanta and moved to Huntsville in 2003 to attend Oakwood College and I finished in 2007. I look forward to making even more memories here at Lee, while motivating my students to do their best and become the very best that they can.
