Anne Jobe

Anne Jobe has been involved in education for 25 years. Mrs. Jobe taught math and Reading at Chapman Middle School from 1992-2003. Mrs. Jobe has worked in administration at the Academy for Academics and Arts and the Academy for Science and Foreign Language from 2003-2015.

Mrs. Jobe believes all children can learn but each may learn in a different way and need different supports along the way. She believes with hard work and perseverance students can reach college and career goals. Keeping the atmosphere positive is the key to success, as well as keeping the lines of communication open among staff, students, and families. She feels teamwork is the ultimate way a school can be successful in reaching the goal of helping each student attain his or her full potential.

Mrs. Jobe is a very visible principal and she states that the best part of her job is visiting the students in all areas of the school. Her favorite educational quotation - “Education is the kindling of a flame, not the filling of a vessel.” ~ Socrates.

Mrs. Jobe is an avid hiker and novice backpacker who enjoys spending time in the woods. Her goal is to hike the entire Appalachian Trail. She also enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family.

“The thing about hiking the Pacific Crest Trail, the thing that was so profound to me that summer – and yet also, like most things so very simple – was how few choices I had and how often I had to the thing I least wanted to do. How there was no escape or denial….I considered my options. There were only two and they were essentially the same. I could go back in the direction I had come from, or I could go forward in the direction I intended to go.” ~ Cheryl Strayed, Wild

Mrs. Jobe is always searching for next steps setting goals for each school year. She intends to help Lee High School reach its fullest potential in academics, arts, athletics, and community. She believes in making decisions for the betterment of students.
