Beta Club
The Lee High School chapter of the National Beta Club promotes character, develops leadership skills, encourages service involvement, recognizes academic achievement, and promotes comradeship among students in grades 10.11. and 12. The Lee High School chapter is an active organization involved in the school and the surrounding community. Its service efforts include a number of projects such as the Christmas Books for Tots project for the Head Start Program at Martin Luther King Elementary school, a canned food drive for the Downtown Rescue mission, and regular visits to the neighboring Floyd E. "Tut" Fann State Veterans Home. Other club activities include fund raising at the Belk Charity Sales, the yearly induction ceremony, peer-tutoring, state convention competitions in art, talent and academics, and production of a club scrapbook and banner. The mission of the Lee High School Beta Club is to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership in the Lee High School community.
