First Day of School

Monday, August 17 is the first day of school for the 2020-21 term.  Students enrolled in the Traditional Learning Framework will begin the 1st 9 weeks in Remote Learning due to the current COVID-19 health situation.  For information about what that will look like this year, please click the more information button below to view the Reset Plan Information Hub.

  • The HCS Counseling Department has provided a variety of helpful quarantine and support resources on the HCS Counseling Department page under Resources for Parents During Quarantine.
  • Students who participate in a Federal Free/Reduced Lunch program may be eligible for fee waivers to help pay for ACT, SAT, NCAA and college application fees. See your school counselor for more details.
  • Seniors are allowed two excused absences from school to visit colleges.  See your School Counselor for details and a College Day approval form.
