My name is Heather Melissa Summey. I grew up in Mobile, Alabama. I have taught Spanish for 18 years at both the secondary and post-secondary levels. This is my second-year teaching Spanish at Lee High School. I lived and studied in Veracruz, Mexico while completing my graduate studies. I love to travel and experience new cultures. I have traveled to over 25 countries and five of the seven continents. I enjoy nature and being outdoors, reading, writing, and spending time with my family. I love helping my students on their journey of learning to communicate in the target language and discovering new culture.
