James Terrell

I graduated from Albertville High School where I played 3 sports; football, basketball and track and field.  I played football at Jacksonville State University and through the ROTC program I earned my commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Regular Army.  I married Teresa Lynn Goggans in 1976 and have two sons; Andrew and Scott.  Prior to starting my teaching career I was in the United States Army for 20 years and served overseas and at home.  I served with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) during "Desert Storm."  I retired as a Lieutenant Colonel.   I've been teaching in Huntsville since 2000.  My first 2 years were at Whitesburg Middle School and in 2002 I moved to Lee High School.  I earned my Masters Degree in Physical Education in 1996 from Alabama A&M University and my Administration Degree from Jacksonville State University in 2005.
