Library Mission Statement
The mission of this Library/Internet Cafe is to teach students to be effective users of information and to prepare students to be life-long learners.
Our Library /Internet Cafe' hours are from 8:00 until 4:00 Monday thru Friday.
Students are allowed to check out three (3) books at a time.
All books may be checked out for two (2) weeks.
Reference materials may be checked out overnight.
Student Technology Enhancement Program (STEP) is an initiative of the Huntsville City Board of Education for the purpose of enabling or enhancing digital learning environments through continuous access to mobile internet service. Mobile Hotspots can be checked out through the library and are also available for purchase.
Alabama Virtual Library (AVL) provides all students, teachers, and citizens of the State of Alabama with online access to essential library and information resources. It is primarily a group of online databases that have magazine, journal, and newspaper articles for research. Through the AVL, an equitable core of information sources are available to every student and citizen in Alabama, raising the level of excellence in schools and communities across the state.
Bibme is a free automatic citation creator that supports MLA, APA, Chicago, and Turabian formatting. BibMe leverages external databases to quickly fill citation information for you. BibMe will then format the citation information and compile a bibliography according to the guidelines of the style manuals.
Refdesk is a free and friendly web site that indexes and reviews quality, credible, and current web-based reference resources.
Google Scholar is an online, freely accessible search engine that lets users look for both physical and digital copies of articles. It searches a wide variety of sources, including academic publishers, universities, and preprint depositories looking for: Peer-reviewed articles.
