Weather Notice

Due to the potential for icy road conditions, Huntsville City Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay on Tuesday, December 11, 2018. The two-hour delay will also apply to all HCS employees, unless otherwise directed by your supervisor.  All elementary, middle, P-8, and junior high classes will begin at 10:00am.  All high school classes will begin at 10:30am.  For more information about the weather decision process, please click for more information below.

Stephanie Hyatt

Stephanie Hyatt has taught English at Lee High School for the past 11 years. A specialist in AP English Language, she has published multiple books for teachers and is a consultant to the National Math and Science Initative, A Plus College Ready, and the Council of Chief State School Officers. Hyatt has been Lee High's teacher of the year, Huntsville City Schools' teacher of the year, and is a national fellow with the America Achieves Foundation. She holds a BA and MA in English from UAH, an EdS in Teaching & Learning from Liberty University, and she is currently writing her doctoral dissertation in Curriculum and Instruction.
