Data and Desserts

Parents and students attended the Data and Desserts event in November, celebrating all the student successes in the classroom with their improvements in their assessment data. Students took responsibility during the conferences, and they explained their data reports to parents. Empowering your students to know their data and provide their own next steps is an excellent tool for succeeding in the classroom.

As the holidays are approaching, take the time to discuss with your students their grades and work assignments in the classroom. Ask them questions about what areas they need more help with and their celebrations! If you learn your students need additional help in any area, and they may feel too shy to ask a peer or a teacher, please do not hesitate to contact your student’s teacher to express your concerns and ask for additional resources to use at home.
