All Schools Transitioning to Remote

All Huntsville City Schools will transition to remote learning beginning Monday, Jan. 24 through Friday, Jan. 28. Students will return to campus on Monday, Jan. 31. HCS is joining school systems across North Alabama in transitioning to remote learning due to the impacts of COVID-19 and staffing availability. Dr. David Belton

Dr. David G. Belton is a native New Yorker but was raised in Birmingham, AL in the Titusville community. He attended Washington Elementary and Parker High, the third generation of his family to do so. He enrolled at the University of Alabama and the extension in Birmingham. After graduation, and having worked in the business environment in the United States and overseas, he returned to Huntsville, AL. In his spare time, Dr. Belton enjoys researching his family genealogy. Dr. Belton joined the staff of MLK in the fall of 2015, where he currently teaches 5th grade.

Dr. Belton has taught at West Mastin Lake (Dawson) Elementary, Morris Elementary, and M. L. King, Jr. Elementary. He has also taught undergraduate and graduate classes at Alabama A&M University.
