Gabrielle Degenaar

I have been an elementary counselor with HCS since 2005. This year marks my first year at McDonnell Elementary and I am thrilled to be part of MES. I am married and have two daughters. My oldest is a sophomore at Auburn and my youngest is a senior in high school who will be heading to UAB in the fall. We have hosted 4 foreign exchange students from Denmark, Germany, Italy and Norway. My daughters and I traveled to Norway to visit our former student and experience her beautiful country. My family and I also foster puppies for a local rescue. We have been doing this for 3 years and have helped 100 puppies find loving homes. We foster failed on two so now we have four fur babies of our own. Our favorite family past time is watching Auburn football. We also love traveling, amusement parks and haunted houses.
