All Huntsville City Schools will transition to remote learning beginning Monday, Jan. 24 through Friday, Jan. 28. Students will return to campus on Monday, Jan. 31. HCS is joining school systems across North Alabama in transitioning to remote learning due to the impacts of COVID-19 and staffing availability. Holly Martinez

Hi! I am Holly Martinez and I am a fifth grade teacher here at McDonnell Elementary.

I am originally from Louisiana and have lived in Huntsville for over ten years. I live with my daughter that attends Sparkman High School and my two puppies, Nola and Tiger. In my spare time I enjoy following my daughter's dance and college sports, GEAUX TIGERS!

This year will be a wonderful and fun filled year of learning. Watching and assisting my students grow and gain self confidence to realize they CAN do whatever they want in life, there are no limits, is why I am here.
