Principal's Message: Potential

A mind is a terrible thing to waste! Isn't that the truth. And it can be depressing seeing some our finest youngsters not living up to their potential. But we need not feel powerless. We must try to be a living example ourselves. We must encourage our students, whether or not we are related to them, to follow their dreams. And, if we can, we should give generously of our time and effort to provide the necessities to help make their dreams become reality.

After essentially losing a year of learning, let's resolve to affirm the ambitions and dreams of our students by working to fill their learning gaps. Each and everyone of them has so much potential. We are ALL in this together - McNair Strong!

Parent Data Meeting

Tuesday, October 19th, 2021, 6:00 pm

Ronald McNair's Cafeteria

The first quarters' student report cards were mailed on Friday, October 15th. ACAP results were included for those 8th graders who took the assessment as 7th graders in the Spring of 2021. STAR screening results were included for all students who completed the assessment in September. As you review this data, you will notice the impact COVID has had on our students' academic performance.

As such, I am inviting parents to attend a Parent Data Meeting. This is an opportunity for McNair to present the data and share our plan of action for moving forward. We will discuss options for extending learning beyond the regular school day and other learning opportunities we have put in place. Furthermore, I would like to hear any suggestions you may have for assisting us with achieving our goals.

Please plan to attend. Light refreshments will be served.
