February Message from the Principal
Progress Reports went home on February 4th. Report cards for the third nine weeks will go home on March 15th.
The State of the School address will take place on February 12th at our PTA meeting. The State of the School address will begin at 5:45 and the PTA/Talent Show will begin at 6:00.
There will be a rehearsal for the Talent Show on Friday, February 8th and a dress rehearsal on Tuesday, February 12th. Both rehearsals are for students only. We ask that parents attend the PTA meeting to see the Talent Show.
We are seeing an increase in traffic both in the morning and afternoon. Please remember that if a bus is stopped to load/unload students, that you may not go around the bus. This is a safety issue for our students. It has been reported that walkers are playing and cutting through the playground. They have been observed pushing and horse playing on the sidewalk and we have had students pushed into cars that are waiting in the car line. I have spoken to students about this. Please remind your children that these rules are for their own safety.
Thank you to our Grandparents Club who continue to bag and count our bottle caps.
Thank you to all the volunteers working in our library. Alisha Daniels is heading up this effort, so be sure to schedule a little time in the MSE Library.
Please remember that if your child is absent to send in excuses within two days of the absence. Any child with three or more unexcused absences will receive an attendance letter in the mail.
There will be no school on February 18th in observance of Presidents’ Day.
Thank you for allowing us the privilege of serving your children and remember “learning is always cooler on the mountain.”
