Letter from Principal Sutton 7-27-20

Hello Montview Families,

I hope you have stayed well and avoided the COVID 19 virus, perhaps even enjoyed time being at home with loved ones and friends over the summer! As you have probably heard, it was announced that we will be returning to school for the 2020-21 year remotely for the first 9 weeks.

We are striving to do what is best for our students. Thank you for the support and cooperation during this difficult time! Many of our Mustangs have chosen to participate in HVA learning, while others are staying with the traditional program of learning. Either way, we know it can be a great year with lots of learning!

We have plans to do the following things during the week of August 10-14:

  • Host a school supply pick-up curbside. (Schedule will be coming.)
  • Mail homeroom assignments along with information on how to login to join your class.
  • Provide information on how we will distribute laptops to grades K-3.
  • Send out orientation "Meet the Teacher" videos to share information (through SchoolCast, available on Montview website at montviewelementary@hsv-k12.org).

We will still have a virtual but fun first day of school on August 17th! Teachers will meet their classes and get things organized to have a wonderful year.

Respectfully,

Marcia Sutton

Principal
