Hello! I am originally from Illinois, but lived in Texas for many years before moving to Alabama in 2005. My husband and I have two grown sons. I enjoy traveling, spending time with family, photography and (of course!) reading. I love working with children, and knew I wanted to be a teacher ever since I was in kindergarten. I think being an elementary school librarian is the best job in the school, and I enjoy making the library a welcoming place where students, family members and staff can inquire, create, share and grow!

I began teaching in Texas in 1990. I have taught pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, 1st grade and 4th grade, as well as English as a Second Language for grades K-8. I became a school librarian in 2012 and I look forward to many more years of doing what I love!
