No Place For Hate Walk
Morris Elementary had their first No Place for Hate activity this year, but it was our 2nd annual walk against hate! Last week, grades K-5 held restorative discussion circles in their classrooms. Students spoke about their culture/heritage, if they had ever experienced hate of any kind, and what they could do to help end hate, discrimination and bullying. Students posted their responses on a large sticky note that will remain throughout the year to serve as a reminder that we all want to do our part in helping end hate and discrimination. During PE and also during recess, classes walked to take a stand against all forms of hate.
