Ms. Boyd's News: February 3

Dear Parents,

January 31, students who had good behavior for the month of January were able to participate in our Winter games. Students have been remined repeatedly about having good behavior for the month in order to attend the activities. This includes an indoor snowball fight in the multipurpose room, visit with Elsa and a catapulting cotton ball activity.

We have an “AttenDANCE” (dance) scheduled for the end of the month for good behavior and great attendance for the month of February.

We are really needing your support the next few months. Many of our students did not score very well on the STAR and we will be working heavily on State Standards in reading and math.

Continue to encourage our first graders to read. Each Friday a guest speaker reads to the students as part of our Parade of Readers.

Thank you again for supporting Morris Elementary. If you have any concerns, please contact the office and either Mr. Shingleton, our assistant principal, Ms. Parvin, our counselors, all the ladies in the front office or I will be glad to help.

Patty Boyd, principal
