Morris Students Receive Holiday Surprises
Some lucky students from Morris P-8 School received holiday gifts, courtesy of employees from the Army Contracting Command (ACC) at Redstone Arsenal. Brigadier General Paul Pardew and members of ACC gave out presents to eighty-three first graders last week in the school’s cafeteria. Morris P-8 School is the beneficiary of the Army Contracting Command’s “Adopt a School” partnership.
Kids from the school created a wish-list and the ACC employees then purchased, wrapped, and placed the gifts under a Christmas tree in the Army Contracting Command lobby. Each child received at least three items in their special packages.
Brigadier General Pardew says that “this is very rewarding” for everyone at ACC - to bring smiles to the children’s faces. Morris Principal Patricia Boyd appreciates all the support that the ACC team provides for her students, adding that, “these kids are super excited” about the gifts. This is the third year in a row the ACC has participated in an Angel Tree program for students at Morris.
