My name is I. Tony Piri, I graduated from A & M University in Huntsville Alabama, where I received my master’s degree in Art Education. I started my teaching career at Martin Luther King Elementary school (when it was named Colonial Hills) in 1998, later transferred to Ed White Middle in 1999, and now serving in three schools, which are: Chapman, Weatherly, and Mt. Gap Elementary. My concentration as a visual Art Teacher resonates through the love for Art as reflected in the Alabama School Curriculum. My main reason for teaching is not far-fetched from my colleagues, which is that beckoning call to impact knowledge at the above schools where my faith has found its anchor. I am married and have three boys who are no longer tied to my apron-strings. In my leisure hours, I enjoy travelling, writing Poetry, and Painting. At this point of my new found destinations (Chapman, Weatherly, and Mt. Gap), I will be honored and humbled if my stretched arms will be met in support by those who may share the same interest and purpose with me in Collaboration for the best interest of our students. Right now, I am pleased to join the legions of teachers who had pursued educational excellence since the beginning of time.
