- Thursday – All tenth graders will be taking the PreACT and all eleventh graders will be taking a practice ACT to help them prepare for the ACT in the spring. Testing will begin at 8:30.

Congressman Brooks will join representatives from the five U.S. service academies in hosting this event for high school students interested in a service academy appointment. Representatives from the U.S. Air Force Academy, Coast Guard Academy, Merchant Marine Academy, Military Academy, and Naval Academy will be available to answer questions and share information about their institutions. Additionally, representatives from Marion Military Institute and local ROTC programs will be available. This is an excellent opportunity for students, parents and school officials to learn about the service academies and the fine education and careers they offer.
- Support Your School! You can join PTSA, sponsor a teacher, and order stickers, magnets, and (limited inventory) t-shirts through our online store.
- If you have a Kroger card, you can link to NCTHS PTSA and we will earn rewards with each purchase.
- If you shop at Publix, sign up for Club Publix and link to NCTHS.
Masking is required inside all Huntsville City Schools buildings. Please monitor yourself and your family members for the following symptoms: fever, cough, body aches, shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, sore throat, or sudden loss of taste or smell. Anyone who develops one or more of these symptoms should contact their doctor or nearest urgent care for guidance. If a member of your household tests positive for COVID, please notify the school nurse immediately. If a student is unable to attend class due to COVID concerns (such as exhibiting COVID symptoms or being excluded), please email Ms. Lightfoot to let her know so attendance can be marked appropriately. All classwork will be posted in Schoology so students can keep up with their schoolwork.

Tip of the Week
Recharging isn’t just for electronic devices. People can also recharge by practicing self-care and relaxation. It is not just something we should do on the weekends or on vacation, but should be a regular part of our daily routine. Relaxation helps your body repair itself and can result in a strengthened immune system. It can help you feel better and live longer. Spend a few minutes each day taking care of yourself. Walk the dog. Read a book for fun. Journal. Color. Take a nap. Do something you enjoy. Be good to yourself, because you deserve it.
