Hello! This is my first year teaching at New Century Technology, and I'm so excited to be a part of this awesome learning community! I have the best job in the world. As a teacher, I build a bridge between the students and the content, acting as a liaison for students to feel empowered and capable to investigate scientific phenomenon. I have made a commitment to my students and myself to be the best academic, personal, and ethical role model I can be. All children, regardless of gender, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, or disability, should have the opportunity to learn from professional, engaging, and knowledgeable teachers. In my classroom, students have the freedom to express their feelings, have their questions investigated, and their reflections valued. I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, but moved to the South 10 years ago. My teaching experience entails entry-level college Chemistry, and high school Anatomy and Zoology. While at Clemson, I researched the habitat suitability of Plethodon salamanders and primate personality in Golden Lion Tamarins and Common Marmosets.
