National Honor Society

The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
How to Join / Membership Requirements:
Students must have a minimum weighted GPA of 3.5, have completed 30 hours of community service, and have unanimous positive feedback from their teachers in order to be selected for NHS membership. Prospective members will receive a letter of notification and will be required to complete an application. Assuming all requirements are met, new members are inducted at the end of their 11th grade year and are active members through their senior year.
Other Info:
NHS meets during the second half of power hour on the first Thursday of every month.
