New Classes, New Opportunities!

New Century is working towards giving students more options within their strands.
The Biomedical Strand is now offering Computer Science Fundamentals, Medical Communication, and Therapeutics Services. These classes as well as the classes already offered allow students to work towards earning certifications. Certifications include: Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), and Certified EKG Technician (CET).
Engineering is now offering Computer Science Fundamentals, Basic Electronics, Aerospace Engineering, and Scientific Payload Design. Completing these classes or the classes already available will allow you to qualify for: Autodesk -- AutoCAD Certified User, Autodesk – Inventor Certified User, Autodesk – Revit Certified User, SolidWorks Certified Associate, or Solid Edge Certified Associate.
Computer Science is now offering Computer Science Fundamentals, Programming for Information Technology Careers, Developing Data Driven Web Applications, Advanced Cyber Security/Forensics, and Advanced Computer Science – Data Structures. Completing the computer science strand—with 8 strand classes—you can qualify for: CompTIA – IT Fundamentals, CompTIA – Network+, Cisco – CCENT, Cisco—CCNA, or Linux Professional Institutes L1.
Unsure as to what strand you’d like to be in? New Century offers a Survey of Strand Studies course which will introduce students to all three strands of study.
