Six Students Qualify for Nationals
Written by: Arianna Kholanjani, Sophomore Journalism student
Every year, the National Beta Club holds a state level convention. Beta Convention allows students to excel in academic, arts, and grow their leadership abilities. During this event, students compete in competitions, attend meetings, meet new people, and learn new skills. This year, New Century’s Beta Club students competed in various categories, such as math, science, art, and speech in Birmingham, AL.
Out of the students that competed at the state competition, six won an award in their category. They now have the chance to compete at the National Competition held in Orlando, Florida this June. At the National Convention, students can win awards, meet other Beta students from around the country, and take part in new experiences that will provide them with success in their future.
