Tech Fair 2019

Wednesday, GATE students from Providence attended the Colombia Tech Fair at Williams Elementary. These students competed against GATE students from other schools in their same grade level with projects they had spent months working on. There were four categories: Creative Expression, Invention, Nonfiction/Reporting, and Robotics/Programming, and the projects included original stories, informational presentations, video productions, student designed and programmed video games, and tech inventions. 

The following students received medals:

Creative Expression, individual project

Grade 4:

Grade 5:

  • Nolan Walker, 1st place
  • Erica Chen, 3rd place

Nonfiction/Reporting, individual project

Grade 3:

  • Ja'dore Ezell, 1st place

Grade 4:

  • Elycia Dunn, 1st place
  • Nathan Roland, 2nd place

Grade 5:

  • Keegan Peters-Washington, 2nd place
  • Ca'Reena Tolbert, 3rd place

Robotics/Programming, individual project
