Claudia E. Quintero-Carrillo

I have lived in Alabama for 30 years but still cannot get used to the cold weather. I love animals, outdoors, books, coffee and music. I enjoy action/comedy movies, documentaries and educational programs and I am not a fan of horror/suspense movies.

Education is very important to me and has played an important role in my life that's why one of my favorite quotes is from the great Nelson Mandela "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world," because even if you don't change the world, you can change your life.

I am so grateful to be part of the RHES family because I have learned so much in only few months from my colleagues and staff and also from every student I am in contact with. This is a GREAT PLACE to be!

My journey in education started in the summer of 1998 fulfilling various roles. I was a liaison, translator, teacher aide and substitute teacher until 2009. In 2008 I realized I loved working with children on a one-to-one basis and decided to go back to school to further my education and became a teacher. Since 2015 I have taught English as a Second Language (6th through 8th grades), Reading (6th through 8th grade), third grade, fourth grade and now sixth grade here at RHES.
