Guidance Counseling

The purpose of guidance counseling:

The Alabama Department of Education requires that students receive the guidance curriculum. The three main components taught in the guidance curriculum are career development, academic skills, and personal/ social skills.  Students receive these services from our school guidance counselor, Megan Moak.  She teaches classes and meets with small groups and individual students as needed.

How can I reach the counselor?

Parents may contact the counselor by calling the school, (256) 428-7440, or by email,, to set up a conference or visit to the school. Students are referred for counseling by teachers, administrators, and parents.
