Christie O'Connor

I have been teaching with Huntsville City Schools for 27 years, 26 of which have been in Kindergarten. I am a native Huntsvillian and a Grissom High School graduate. My husband and I have two children, our married son works locally in the banking industry, and our daughter attends the University of North Alabama. When I'm not at school I enjoy spending time with my family.
Last year I became a National Board Certified Educator.
I have the best job in the world. I get to make a difference in the life of a child daily. I strive to create an atmosphere that encourages curiosity and determination. Our classroom is a place where students feel respected, important, cared for and believed in. Together, we celebrate each other’s success and inspire each other to be the best that we can be.
