All Schools Transitioning to Remote

All Huntsville City Schools will transition to remote learning beginning Monday, Jan. 24 through Friday, Jan. 28. Students will return to campus on Monday, Jan. 31. HCS is joining school systems across North Alabama in transitioning to remote learning due to the impacts of COVID-19 and staffing availability. Beth Whitener

I am a native of Huntsville. Growing up, I attended schools in the Huntsville City School district. I am happily married. Together my husband and I have two daughters. We enjoy spending time as a family. My hobbies include reading, cooking, and bargain shopping. I love teaching 2nd grade!

After college I taught pre-school (Head Start) for two years. I began working for HCS in 1996 as an Instructional Assistant in 1st and 3rd grade classrooms at Hampton Cove Elementary. I have been at Whitesburg teaching since 1997. I taught 3rd grade for 20 years. I am currently teaching 2nd grade!
