Mekeisha Traylor

My name is Mekeisha Traylor. I have been a School Counselor with Huntsville City Schools for four years. I previously taught in the classroom for twelve years in grades K, 1, 3, 4, 5. My focus as a School Counselor is building relationships with students, families, and the staff. It is also my mission to support our students socially and emotionally. This will be done through weekly guidance lessons, individual counseling, small group counseling, and providing professional counseling resources.

I attended Alabama A&M University (Go Bulldogs!) and received a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education and a Master's of Science in School Counseling. I am married and we have three happy, healthy, and active children. Outside of my career as a school counselor, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, photography, cooking, and eating! I love what I do and the students and staff that I have been called to serve and work with.
