Candace Hatcher

My name is Candace Hatcher. I have been employed with Huntsville School District for 20 years. My teaching assignments are AAA, Providence and Williams Elementary Schools. I worked as a speech-language pathologist in Atlanta, Georgia and in Huntsville, Alabama before becoming an ESOL teacher ten years ago. I returned to graduate school at the University of Alabama in Birmingham to earn a Master of Arts in Education for English as A Second Language in 2010. My passion is for teaching culturally and linguistically diverse students. I am the parent of a second language learner and understand the social, emotional and academic challenges of acculturating to a new country. Please feel free to contact me about any questions or concerns regarding your child's ESOL services and/or progress in English classes. In my free time, I like to run, attend theatrical performances, travel to visit family, and read.
