Meribeth Lapidus

When I was a little girl, I wanted to grow up to be Mary Poppins; actually, I wanted to be Julie Andrews, but they were the same in my 6-year old mind. I loved how she was firm and no-nonsense as well as loving, and she tried to make everything fun (even cleaning). As an adult, I realized that Mary Poppins is the quintessential teacher; she not only instructed Jane and Michael, but also their parents. I truly enjoy being, and making music, with children of all ages. I enjoy reading, yoga, and traveling, and white-water rafting with my husband, Jeff. In addition to teaching elementary music, I also teach adult voice lessons, and I am starting new community choir, open to anyone who is interested, showcasing Jewish music and composers. I have a grown daughter and two step-daughters, and my husband and I have two cats; a sweet tuxedo kitty named Loki (she is very mischievous) and a lively yellow tabby named Bucky.
