Special Olympics

On Tuesday, October 22nd, students from Mrs. Cryer’s class were able to participate in the Madison County Special Olympics at Milton Frank Stadium. Students enjoyed many activities, such as face painting, dancing, and beautiful weather. One student from Mrs. Cryer’s class competed in the following events: tennis ball throw and the 50-meter assisted walk. This student placed 2nd in the tennis ball throw and received a participation ribbon in the assisted walk. Mrs. Cryer stated, “Special Olympics is always a fun and exciting event for students with special needs to show their talent.”
